Bessie Jane Mullin Anderson, 90, a resident of the Cypress House in Summerville, passed on to her heavenly father on Saturday July 20, 2013 at the Charleston Hospice Center in Mt. Pleasant, SC.
Bessie was born of Lucy (Brower) and George P. Mullin in Dayton, Ohio on May 17 1923.
She was predeceased by an infant daughter, Scarlette Darlene, 3 sisters, Gloria Mullin, Alice Smith, Marie White and a brother, George P. Mullin, Jr.
She leaves behind a daughter, Bobbett Anderson Abraham of Virginia Beach, Va., a nephew, Charles “Sonny Boy” Smith (Sandy) of Summerville, a niece, Kathlene White Calvano (Chuck) of Fort Collins, Colorado, several grand nieces and a grand nephew.
She lived most of her adult years in Portsmouth, Va. and came to Summerville to live with her nephew “Sonny Boy” and Sandy in 2006 until she moved to the Cypress House in 2010.
Cremation was handled by Carolina Memorial Park in Charleston, SC.
A private memorial service will be held later at Boone Hill UMC in Summerville for her family and friends. Her ashes will be spread over her mother’s grave in Dayton, Ohio and also her husband’s grave in Portsmouth, VA.
The beautiful and spirited Mullin sisters are going to rock Heaven together.
