Dorchester County Solid Waste/ Recycling partners with Goodwill Industries of Lower South Carolina to Reduce, Reuse and Recycle
 
Dorchester County Public Works and Goodwill Industries of Lower South Carolina, have Teamed up to Keep Clothing and Shoes out of the landfill. Goodwill has placed Clothing donation Boxes at the following Dorchester County Convenience Sites:
(3 boxes) Knightsville /Bucks, (3 boxes) Oakbrook/Old Fort, (3 boxes) St. George
and (2 boxes) Sprucewood/Highway 61.
When you donate to Goodwill, you are not only helping to keep reusable goods out of area landfills, you are helping to provide job training and employment services to people with disabilities and other barriers to employment. In 2012, Goodwill diverted 16,646,240 pounds of goods and 600,000 tons of e-waste out of area landfills in South Carolina.
