Host club Wescott tallied 51 points Aug. 5 to win the ninth match of the Charleston Area Men’s Interclub Golf Association season.
Coosaw Creek came in second with 43 points and Charleston Municipal placed third with 40. Trailing were Berkeley (38), Charleston National (35), Dunes West, Pine Forest and Miler (all with 30), Stono Ferry (29), Crowfield, Legend Oaks and Rivertowne (all with 27) and Shadowmoss (15).
The top individuals were Lynn Hodge of Charleston National and Steve Cebulka of Stono Ferry who both finished with 17 points. Jim Buzon of Wescott placed third with 16 points. Full results can be found at chsinterclub.org.
Coosaw Creek leads the season point standings with 90 points but Wescott edged closer with its win, which brought the club’s tally to 81.5 points. Trailing are Pine Forest (79), Charleston National (73.5), Miler (73.5), Crowfield (64), Dunes West (59.5), Shadowmoss (59.5), Charleston Municipal (58.5), Berkeley (54.5), Legend Oaks (53), Rivertowne (50 and Stono Ferry (40.5).
The next match will take place at 9 a.m. Sept. 9 at the Berkeley course.
