McDavid, Muthig marry in summer ceremony

Mrs. Jeffrey Paul Muthig

Kathleen Erin McDavid and Jeffrey Paul Muthig, both of Columbia, South Carolina, were married August 10, 2013 at Eastminster Presbyterian Church in Columbia.
Dr. Brad Smith officiated the six o'clock in the evening ceremony.
A reception followed at the Forest Lake Club.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D. Thomas McDavid of Summerville, South Carolina. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley L. Riegel of Summerville; and Dr. and Mrs. Robert F. McDavid Jr. of Terre Haute, Indiana; and the late Mrs. Maryalyce T. McDavid.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Serving as bridal attendants were Alaina Shea McDavid, Shannon Elizabeth McDavid, Robin Lee Muthig, Julie Swinson Salinas and Joellen McKee Weidenmiller. They wore grey silk dupioni cocktail dresses of varying styles.
Guests were greeted by Meghan Ann McDavid, Kelly Gleffe Passarello and Page Preston Snyder. Readers were Lindsey Sink Dasher and Bailey Johnson Nevels.
Serving as flower girls were Audra Quinn Harrison and Sloan Marie Harrison.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul J. Muthig of Columbia. He is the grandson of Dr. and Mrs. Franklin B. Hines, Jr. of Columbia; and Mrs. Ann S. Muthig of Vidalia, Georgia, and the late Mr. James Muthig.
The groom’s father stood as best man.
His groomsmen were Christopher Andrew Muthig, Travis Michael Muthig, Jason Carlisle McElveen, Hunter Phelan Strasburger and Brooks David Whiteside.
Ushers were Michael Christopher Greene, James Lawson Morgan and Steven Russell Olejnik.
The bride is a 2004 graduate of Summerville High School, a 2008 graduate of Furman University, and a 2011 graduate of the University of South Carolina School of Law. She is employed as in-house counsel at First Citizens Bank in Columbia.
The groom is a 2003 graduate of Richland Northeast High School and a 2007 graduate of Wofford College. He is employed as a credit analyst with NBSC, a division of Synovus Bank, in Columbia.
The couple plans to honeymoon in Montego Bay, Jamaica. They will make their home in Columbia.
