When treating injuries and disorders of the spine, Dr. Todd Lansford strives to find solutions that do not involve surgery, and when surgery is necessary, he considers whether the best treatment can be done with a minimally invasive approach. In fact, Dr. Lansford recently finished a fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco Medical Center, learning from spinal disorder experts who visited from around the world. “It was a great opportunity.” His own honors include receiving the Investigator Award from the Society of Lateral Access Surgery for examining minimally invasive surgical techniques for adult scoliosis. He brings his comprehensive knowledge to South Carolina Sports Medicine, where he treats patients who suffer from spinal conditions for a variety of reasons and are often in a great deal of pain. Improving and resolving those issues can be transforming for patients.
