  • Tuesday, August 27, 2013

Summerville Police responded to BiLo on Dorchester Road August 15 at 12:20 a.m. to a report of an attempted break-in. Two employees met with the officers and told them they had heard a loud banging noise coming from the front of the store. They observed a male with a crowbar trying to pry the front door open.
The subject, they said, was a black male, about 5 feet, 9 inches tall and 130 pounds. The subject was wearing a grey t-shirt, jeans, grey shoes and a white mask.
They told police the subject ran toward Trolley Road and that they observed a tan four-door truck drive by moments after the subject left.
Police are obtaining video surveillance tapes.
