SHS to hold Athletic Hall of Fame ceremony

  • Tuesday, September 10, 2013

The Summerville High School Athletic Hall of Fame will induct seven new members next week.
The Hall of Fame Committee recently announced that Perry Cuda, Robert Sinteff, Jan Waring Woods, Michael Willis, Will Jeter, Burt Bazzle and Louis Mulkey have been selected for induction in 2013. Bazzle and Mulkey will enter the Hall as Special Award Category inductees.
The induction ceremony will be held at halftime of the Green Wave home football game against Goose Creek Sept. 13.
The Hall of Fame Committee will have a reception for the new inductees in the Spann Elementary School Cafeteria at 5:30 p.m. prior to kickoff of the game. All Hall of Fame Committee members and past inductees, and their families, are invited to the reception.
Nominations are now being accepted for the Summerville High School Athletic Hall of Fame Class of 2014. The organization also honors athletes from Alston High School so nominations can also be made for Alston graduates.
Nomination forms may be picked up and turned in by March 1 at the SHS principal’s office or from Donna Crowe in the SHS Athletic Office.
