Saving a Life

  • Thursday, September 19, 2013

Dorchester County Council adopted a resolution in honor of three local emergency responders, (from left to right) Liz Rowell, Chris Sarine and Kevin Varnadoe, who saved the life of a drowning child on July 9. The three were awarded a framed copy of the resolution, which will also appear in the county’s permanent files. The child’s mother, Kelly Smoak-Wilson (also pictured), also played an instrumental role in saving her daughter’s life. The council thanked all of them for their service to the community.
