Copeland graduates from basic training
     Air Force Airman Michael E. Copeland graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.
     The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.
     Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
     Copeland is the son of Karen Copeland of Summerville.
     He is a 2006 graduate of Summerville High School.
 
Geddis graduates from basic training
 
     Army Pvt. Tyrone J. Geddis has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.
     During the nine weeks of training, the soldier studied the Army mission, history, tradition and core values, physical fitness, and received instruction and practice in basic combat skills, military weapons, chemical warfare and bayonet training, drill and ceremony, marching, rifle marksmanship, armed and unarmed combat, map reading, field tactics, military courtesy, military justice system, basic first aid, foot marches, and field training exercises.
     Geddis is the son of Natashia Geddis of Holiday Drive, Summerville.
     He is a 2012 graduate of Summerville High School.
 
Gibbs graduates from basic training
Army Reserve Pvt. Chrishara T. Gibbs has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.

     Gibbs is the daughter of Samantha Frasier of Scribus Lane, Johns Island, and granddaughter of Nathalie Johnson of Argyll Drive, Summerville.
     She is a 2012 graduate of St. John's High School, Johns Island.

Air Force Airman Kenric W. Johnson Jr. graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.
     The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

     Johnson is the son of Ronnetta and Kenric Johnson Sr. of Wild Goose Trail, Summerville.
      He is a 2010 graduate of Summerville High School.

     Air Force Airman 1st Class Daniel J. Ludwigsen graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

     Ludwigsen is the son of Carla Moutray of Dolphin Drive, Summerville.

Air Force Airman Alyssa K. McCarthy graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

     McCarthy is the daughter of Sean and Paula McCarthy of Ashton Cove, Summerville.

Army National Guard Pvt. Hassan J. Somerville has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.
