Title Max on Bacons Bridge Road in Summerville was burglarized Oct. 19. Thieves entered through a smashed window leaving muddy footprints. Drawers to a filing cabinet were pulled open and a file titled “Summerville Titles to be Auctioned” was found outside the business near the shattered glass. A flat-head screwdriver was found near the file.

When the general manager responded to the scene she advised police that two envelopes were missing from the filing cabinet. One contained $6,578 and the other $4,800. A third containing about $180, was still in the cabinet.

A CPU was also taken but he had no serial number. Total value stolen was $11,679 with $500 in damages.

Police were able to retrieve some fingerprints.
