Students succeed in reading

  • Wednesday, October 30, 2013

Summerville Elementary School’s 2A students enjoy their success by dressing up their teacher. Students practiced Habit #2, Begin With the End in Mind, when they set their Reading Counts class goal for the first nine weeks at 200 points. Then they applied Habit #3, Put 1st Things 1st, and read and took hundreds of Reading Counts quizzes.  Many of the students stayed after school for their Friday Reading Club to read and rack up the points. When all the points were tallied, they had earned 234 points and had read 76,768 words. They celebrated their achievement by dressing up their teacher, Mr. DeBolt, any way they wanted. Provided
