Gregg Middle School has designed and implemented a program called Mustang Minutes. Students are buzzing about cooking, archery, blogging, and speaking Russian and are excited about their involvement in one of 60 plus Mustang Minutes clubs that GMS has started.

Faculty members tapped into their own interests and chose a club to sponsor. Club sponsors will also serve as mentors for the 15-18 students in their club for the school year.

Mustang Minutes will take place during the school day on the second Thursday of every month for 60 minutes.

During this time, mentors will focus work on setting academic goals and demonstrating Mustang P.R.I.D.E. with students. Students will decide what they need to work on, track their progress and evaluate how they are doing under the guidance of their mentor.

Along with the academic portion of this program, students will take part in club activities, such as gardening, leadership, foreign languages, dance, music, forensics, sports, crafts and astronomy.

This program was designed to get students to start planning for goals and also key into their specific interests. As this program progresses through the year meaningful relationships will be fostered and interests will be met.
