SHS Navy JROTC takes 1st place again

Provided Members of Summerville High School’s Navy JROTC.

Summerville High School Navy JROTC Drill Team take first place for the third drill meet in a row. The cadets traveled to South Aiken, S.C., to compete in the Sliver Bluff High School Drill Meet last Saturday. The team competed against 12 other high schools from South Carolina and Georgia finishing FIRST overall with the following results.

First Place: Academics, Freshman Color Guard and the 8 by 200 relay race.

Second Place: Armed Platoon, Armed Squad, Freshman Squad, and 16 by 100 relay.

Third Place: Academic Postal, Personnel Inspection.

Fourth Place: Color Guard, Armed Exhibition, Unarmed Exhibition.

The Cadets will travel to Richland North East In Columbia,SC on November the 9th.
