Clean sweep

Nicole Dannible, left, and art teacher Laura Hastings show off Nicole’s winning art and award certificate for her entry in the City of North Charleston Clean Cities Sweep t-shirt contest. Nicole is a Fort Dorchester Elementary School fifth grader. The theme for the contest was volunteerism and community beautification. One winner was chosen from North Charleston K-5 area schools. Nicole’s design will be printed on the 2014 Clean Cities Sweep t-shirts. Nicole will receive a copy of her t-shirt and an art supply kit. Her work will also be displayed on the Keep North Charleston Beautiful website.  The winning student’s coordinating teacher, Ms. Laura Hastings, will receive a $50 gift certificate to purchase classroom art supplies.
