Child says bullying reason for weapon

  • Tuesday, November 19, 2013

Gregg Middle School SRO responded to a report by the Gregg Middle School Assistant Principal of a child who had a knife with him in school. When asked, the child admitted to having the knife, turned the three-inch blade over to authorities and explained he had brought it because “some kids on the bus were threatening him.”

He was charged Carrying a Weapon on School Property and released on a custodial promise to his mother. The weapon was turned over to the school authorities for use in an expulsion hearing.
