Sarah Hicks

Summerville’s own Sarah Hicks will compete in the Miss South Carolina – United States paeant in January.

She currently serves as Miss Folly Beach 2014.

‘This gives me the opportunity to become more involved in activities statewide and because it proves what can happen when people believe in you and encourage you to pursue your dreams.

Hicks is a Summerville High School graduate where she was a varsity cheerleader. She also held the title of Miss Summerville High School Senior 2011.

She is pursuing a nursing degree at the University of South Carolina while balancing work and her responsibilities as Miss Folly Beach. She will compete in the Miss South Carolina-United States pageant in Charlotte, North Carolina on January 18, 2014.

The pageant is the official preliminary to the Miss United States title. The Miss United States organization has a foundation of volunteerism, community service, and providing a platform for young women to succeed. Attaining a title through this organization can afford me a greater opportunities to promote my platform V.I.E.T.O/ “Volunteering is Essential to Oneself” and to inspire other young adults to pursue their dreams, volunteer and to make a positive impact in our state and local community.

To book Hicks for an appearance or volunteer work, contact her at P.O. Box 51662, Summerville, SC 29485.
