Summerville Police responded to Gadsden Place Nov. 29, for an assault in progress. When they arrived they attempted to speak with Wiktoria Fagan who was intoxicated. The only thing she would say to the officers was “it was payback.”
Police then spoke with Michael Fagan, 20, who told them he was sitting on the couch when he heard a scream for help. He said he ran to the room and saw Wiktoria pushing the child and a bite on the child’s arm. Wiktoria tried to get a hunting knife but he grabbed it before she could get to it.
The other child said the mother had hit him in the face several times and that she was drunk. The children’s father was contacted and arrived at the scene. The 11-year-old and 15-year-old were handed over to their father’s custody.
The mother was charged with assault and battery, 3rd degree and transported to Summerville Medical Center for suicidal thoughts.
