Sweet Southern Christmas Judy Watts/Journal Scene Veronica Pitts and Frank Dreyer look at the back of the Rotary Clubs of Summerville float before the Christmas Parade on Dec. 8. The float was the work of The Breakfast, Noon and Evening Clubs. The float, which won the “Best Adherence to Theme” (Sweet Southern Christmas) award, honored Henry Lewis, a member of the Evening Rotary Club and a community leader who passed away on Dec. 2.

Riding inside the float were Pat and Judy Watts in rocking chairs and reading “The Night Before Christmas” to children seated on the front of the float.
