On Dec. 9, Dorchester County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a residence in Dorchester. The complainant told deputies she had put her child on the school bus around 7:30 a.m., had gone back inside her residence and gone to sleep.
She said she awoke when three black males, dressed in black clothing and masks and armed with handguns forced entry through her front door.
The victim said the men demanded money and she told them it was in her pocketbook. The men took approximately $15,120 from the pocketbook, tied the victim up and left the residence.
She told deputies, when she was able to get out of the residence, she went to get help. EMS responded and checked the victim but the victim declined transport.
Detectives responded and the incident is under investigation.
