Shuckin for the Wave to benefit baseball program
The annual Shuckin for the Wave Oyster Roast that benefits the Summerville High School baseball program is scheduled for Dec. 21 from 6-8:30 p.m. at Summerville Country Club. The event will feature Bulls Bay Oysters, Chili, draft beer and a cash bar. Tickets are $25. For more information, call 568-0145.
Youth baseball, softball sign-ups in N. Charleston
The North Charleston Recreation Department has opened baseball and softball registration for ages 4-15 and is seeking team sponsors. Registration for 2014 youth programs will run through January. Registration cost is $30 for residents and $60 for non-residents. Registration can be done online at www.northcharleston.org and will also be taken at various recreation department facilities. Baseball players needed for Generals travel team
The Lowcountry Generals 10U travel baseball team is looking to add two new players to its existing roster for the upcoming spring season. Previous travel ball experience and pitching ability are pluses, but all advanced players will be considered. The team is led by a former Mississippi State University baseball coach. Summerville Soccer Club seeks parent volunteers
The Summerville Soccer Club needs parents of players to sign up for volunteer days. There is a schedule posted on the website (www.summervillesoccerclub.com/Volunteer/index_E.html ) for Game Days, Picture Day and Year-End Jamboree. The club needs volunteers for each.
