Choice Gymnastics hosted its annual Silver Bells Invitational this month at the Hanahan Recreation Center and the gymnasts of Choice had another great showing.
Personal bests were the theme for the weekend as 71 gymnasts competed in 282 events with 188 of those events being a new personal best score. Choice gymnasts visited the podium 126 times with 46 trips being to the top spot.
The gym had a great team finish and 10 Choice gymnasts were crowned All-Around champions.
In the Excel division, the Choice Gold squad took fourth place, while the gym’s Silver and Bronze teams both finished second.
The Choice Level 3 and Level 4 teams both brought home first-place trophies for compulsories.
The two highest scores from the gym were Emily Hunter, an Excel Silver athlete who recorded a 37.855 all-around score, and Sara Smith, an Excel Bronze gymnast who recorded a 38.00 all-around score.
