Reagin Candy Buy Back
There are better ways to promote health during the sweets-laden season of Halloween than substituting raisins for Reese's Cups.
Don't be that person.
Instead, consider participating in Reagin Orthodontics' Candy Buy Back on Friday, November 2 from 3-5 p.m at the office of Dr. Britt Reagin, located at 401 West 4th North Street in Summerville, across from Doty Park Playground.
The Candy Buy Back is not just for patients of Dr. Reagin, but for any trick or treater who would rather have some pocket money than Bits O' Honey. Just bring in your leftover candy from the big night (or at least the candy no one actually eats) and Dr. Reagin will weigh it and trade fifty cents for each pound of candy, up to five dollars. Kids can also spin a wheel for prizes as well.
Kids and sugar-shy parents aren't the only ones benefiting from Dr. Reagin's Candy Buy Back: Reagin Orthodontics will match the total money traded for candy with a donation to the Summerville Family YMCA Strong Kids Annual Campaign.
"When you give to the Y, you make a meaningful contribution to your community, " says Reagin. The downtown Summerville YMCA is celebrating its tenth birthday this year and is the largest Y in the tri-county area. "We are very lucky to have such a state-of-the-art facility here in Summerville."
Dr. Reagin's commitment to health doesn't stop at dental care, and with the Candy Buy Back, the office of Reagin Orthodontics not only is attempting to prevent tooth decay, but also promoting fitness and community wellness.
So bring your candy to Reagin Orthodontics on November 2 and let Dr. Reagin pay you and the Summerville Family YMCA for sacrificing your stash of sweets. Halloween can be both fun and healthy with this year's Candy Buy Back. All participating kids need it be accompanied by an adult.
