Fifth graders at Spann Elementary staked their claim in the west on Friday, October 26th. The students washed clothes using a washing board and pails of water, made “situpons,” learned about horses and saddle care, learned square dancing and enjoyed time specific games. The students were dressed as cowboys, Indians, and buffalo soldiers. Shown here making sit-upons are Gracie Weatherford and Sophie Flatt.
