Summerville Town Council will hold a public hearing on the proposed 2013 budget at its meeting Wednesday.
The budget maintains property taxes at 62.4 mills, the rate since 2009, for a general fund budget of $24.3 million.
Council has already voted on probably the most controversial aspect of the new budget, the increase in utility franchise fees to 5 percent from 3 percent.
The budget ordinance is available on the town’s website, www.summerville.sc.us. The meeting will be 7:30 p.m. Wednesday on the third floor of town hall annex.
