An inmate at the Dorchester County Detention Center has died after apparently hanging himself, according to a press release from the Dorchester County Coronerís Office.
Scott Kuykendall, 34, of Goose Creek, was found hanging about 10 a.m. Nov. 22, according to Coroner Chris Nisbet. Kuykendall was taken down and transported to the Colleton County Medical Center Emergency Room, where he was pronounced dead. Kuykendall had been incarcerated in the Dorchester County Detention Center in St. George since March 30, 2012 for a parole violation.
Nisbet said a forensic autopsy will be conducted.
The investigation continues.
