DCSO safety reminder

  • Monday, January 14, 2013

As the holiday season draws near the traffic volume becomes a concern for both travelers and law enforcement. With this in mind, the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office would like to remind everyone who might be traveling to take a few extra moments to make sure the children are secured properly in their child restraint seats and make sure you buckle up as well. Many times during a vehicle collision serious injury or even a fatality could have been avoided if the occupants would have been wearing their seat belts.
If you are consuming alcohol while celebrating the holidays please arrange a designated driver before the party starts. The Dorchester County ( H.E.A.T.) Team (Highway Enforcement of Aggressive Traffic) will be out in full force this holiday season along with the South Carolina Highway Patrol and other Law Enforcement Agencies enforcing DUI Laws, Compliance Check Points, and Multi-Jurisdiction Traffic Enforcement.
The Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office would like to wish everyone a safe and happy holiday season.
