Oakbrook Middle School’s PTSA purchased two new ranges for Ramona Grow’s Family and Consumer Sciences classroom kitchen labs. Kimberly Thompson, our wonderful PTSA mother of Gryce Simmons, worked diligently with Lowe's on Dorchester Road to get a fantastic price and delivery! Students have already used the ovens this week to prepare Pumpkin Bread and Ginger Cookies from scratch! Mrs. Grow teaches 6th, 7th, and 8th graders and has more than three hundred students each year enjoying the three complete kitchen labs to cook and bake. OMS is so very thankful for the time and effort the PTSA and Lowe's put forth to make this happen for our students. Eigth graders enjoying the new ranges are Jasmine Cobb, Zaria Maxwell, Noah Kissman, Quinnlyn Middlebrook, Terrence Mattern, Cameron Chenault, Jewel Presti and Carl Holmes.
