Monica Kreber, Reporter
Monica is a Lowcountry native – born and raised in Mt. Pleasant, where her family still lives. In May 2012 she graduated from Winthrop University in Rock Hill, where she majored in Mass Comm and minored in creative writing. Shortly after graduating she moved to Seneca (up by Clemson – go Tigers!) where she worked as a reporter for The Daily Journal. She joined the Summerville Journal Scene in February 2014 and covers education for Dorchester District Two and serves as a general assignment reporter. When she is not busy writing articles Monica can be found working out at the gym, hanging around in downtown Chuck, tanning at the beach, hula hooping, praying for summer weather, blowing her money on clothes or stuffing her face with Swedish Fish gummies (Monica has a serious candy addiction). Monica aspires to one day write novels on top of her journalism career.
