Laughlin, Mott announce engagement

Drew and Jane Laughlin of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina and Linda Lucas Laughlin of Lexington, South Carolina are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Katherine Lucas Laughlin to Derreck Edward Kishpaugh Mott of Summerville, South Carolina. Mr. Mott is the son of Seth & Teresa Mott of Summerville SC. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Marie L. Lucas and the late Master Sergeant Hollis C. Lucas Sr. (USAF Ret.) of Lexington; and Dorie Weller and the late Col. Harold E. Weiler (U.S. Army Ret.) of Bluffton, South Carolina; and Carol Laughlin and the late Edward S. Laughlin of San Jose, California. Miss Laughlin is a 2006 graduate of Lexington High School and a 2010 graduate of St. Andrews Presbyterian College and has a BA in Business Administration. She currently works at Camp Seafarer for Girls in Arapahoe, North Carolina. The bridegroom-elect is the grandson of Jerry and Jay Labar of Blairstown, New Jersey and Howard K. Mott Sr. also of Blairstown. Mr. Mott is a 2006 graduate of Summerville High School and is currently serving in the United States Army as an AH64D Apache Helicopter crew chief. He is stationed out of Ft. Bragg, North Carolina, but is presently deployed overseas.
