Mrs. Mark Wellington Plowden
Aughtry Eloise Kay Randall, and Mark Wellington Plowden, both of Columbia, South Carolina were married on May 12, 2012, at St. Paulís Episcopal Church in Summerville, South Carolina. The Very Reverend Samuel G. Candler and Reverend Michael R. Lumpkin officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Robert Stokes Randall of Summerville. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Howard Aughtry of Lyman, South Carolina, and Mrs. Marguerite Watkins Randall of Columbia, the late Mr. Roy Stokes Randall of Columbia, and the late Mrs. Eloise Foster Randall of Columbia. The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Aughtry graduated from Sunmerville High School in 2004 and from Clemson University in 2008. She is now pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of South Carolina.
The bride wore a gown of Ivory Yasmine by Christos gown with ruched bodice with a sweetheart neckline and scalloped lace bottom with pearls.
The groom is the son of Mrs. Edith McWhirt Plowden of Columbia. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank H. McWhirt of Columbia.
Mark graduated from The Hammond School and continued on to Clemson University where he received a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science. He is now the Communications Director for the Attorney General.
Miss Lisa Ann Yaxis and Miss Megan Lindsie Noe served as the maids of honor. The bridesmaids were Mrs. Mary Ames Voyles, Mrs. Courtney McArdle Aughtry, Miss Alice McKellar Temple, Miss Laura Livingston Buddin, Miss Elizabeth Nichole Knight, Miss Megan Marie Wiley, Miss Alexandra Ashley Ellenburg and Miss Lena Pelishenko Williams. Flower girls were Miss Cely Virginia Voyles and Miss Laney Ames Voyles. Honorary bridesmaids were Miss Elizabeth Rhodes Irvin, Miss Elizabeth Davis Way, Miss Jessica Eadon Way, Mrs. Kristy Ray Quattrone, and Mrs. Madison Weston Henry
Best man was Mr. Rudy Len Williams. Groomsmen were Mr. Stephen Paul Voyles, Mr. Edgar Harrison Walker III, Mr. Andrew Courtland King, Mr. Jason Trent Douglas, Mr. Christopher Lloyd Tuten, Mr. Robert Kyle Bressler, Mr. Robert Paul Cote, Mr. Reginald Dwayne Bell and Mr. Ryan Walker Glenn.
The couple honeymooned in Hermitage Bay, Antigua, and will reside in Columbia.
