Storm causes Summerville power outages

Power outages are being reported in and around Summerville as the town has been hit by a system of thunderstorms moving across the Southeastern U.S.
According to South Carolina Electric and Gas, over 4,000 Dorchester County residential outages were being reported as of 6:50 p.m. Friday, representing over 50,000 customers. In addition to residential outages, traffic lights are out on Trolley Road, Bacons Bridge Road and Main Street.
The National Weather Service says there is a 30 percent of chance of additional storms until 10 p.m. Friday night.
