Helping the elderly

  • Monday, January 14, 2013

Every year DuBose Middle School works with the Dorchester County Seniors’ Home to “adopt” some of the elderly citizens in our community. This year DMS received 25 “Angels”, some of whom live at the Home and some are in their own homes—but with no local family to support them. The list of requested items usually include toiletries and bath items, linens and towels, robes and slippers, cleaning supplies, and, sometimes, supplies for their pets. Shown here are students from Maria Harlen’s class who helped carry the gifts to the car of the Director of the Dorchester County Seniors’ Home.
