The LowCountry DayLily Club will hold its monthly meeting at Berkeley Electric Co-Op, 551 Rembert Dennis Blvd, Moncks Corner, SC, 29461. Jim and Peggy Jeffcoat of Singing Oaks Gardens will present the program. Both Jim and Peggy are day lily hybridizers, so this should be a most interesting program. JSL Cook-off Feb. 9
Saturday, Feb. 9 • 1-5 pm
The Junior Service League of Summerville will host a Chili, Cornbread, and Pies… Oh, My!!! Cook-off and Vendor Fair. The group is looking for vendors to purchase booths to sell their goods, as well as to compete in the cook-off. This is a fundraiser for JSL and those attending will enjoy fabulous local food, entertainment for the kids, live music, raffles for great prizes, as well as shopping with local vendors. Admission to the event is free. Drinks and samples of the chili, cornbread, and pies will be $1 each. Raffle tickets will be sold for $1 each. All money raised will go to charities in the Summerville area

The National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association (NARFE) of Summerville will meet at 1:30 at the Faith Sellers Senior Center, 312 N. Laurel St. on Monday January 28.† The speaker will be a representative from AAA. All active and retired federal employees, spouses and surviving spouses are welcome.
