Easterling, Marylyn

Marylyn Fleming Easterling, 78, of Summerville, wife of William “Lee” Easterling, passed away on Friday, January 18, 2013 at Trident Medical Center. 
Friends and family called at James A. Dyal Funeral Home on Monday, January 21, 2013 from 6 o’clock until 8 o’clock PM.  Funeral services were held on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at 10 o’clock AM at Bethany United Methodist Church, 118 West 3rd Street, Summerville.  Burial was held at Elmwood Cemetery, 501 Elmwood Avenue, Columbia, SC 29201.  Flowers were accepted. 
Marylyn was born on October 7, 1934 in Columbia, SC daughter of the late Astor B. Fleming and Estelle Howerton Fleming.  Marylyn was a graduate of Dreher High School in Columbia, Class of 1952.  She was a member of Pi Beta Phi Sorority at University of SC.  She was a Docent for over 20 years at Middleton Plantation in Charleston and was a volunteer at Second Hand Thrift Shop.  She was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church. 
Surviving in addition to her husband Lee of 57 years are:  One Son:  William L. “Bill” Easterling, Jr. of Columbia, SC; One Brother:  Astor “Rusty” B. Fleming (Catherine) of Brunswick, GA.  She is predeceased by her daughter, Virginia “Anne” Easterling.
