Incident report details: Complainant reported she left home and when she returned she found a rear window broken and a screen in the yard. Responding officers noted that the window appeared to be broken from the inside; the complainant stated she thought subjects may have come in through a rear door because it does not lock properly. She also stated that her bedroom was the only area of the house disturbed and she is missing a laptop and several items of her jewelry, as well as a video game system.

Incident report details: Complainants reported that they left the home about 9:30 in the morning and returned around 12:30 p.m. but no one noticed anything missing until another family member came home about an hour later. Missing from the home were at least two laptop computers, some jewelry, and three guns. Officers found no signs of forced entry but the family said the back door was unsecured.

Incident report details: Complainants, a 19 year old Summerville man and his mother, reported that they left their residence on the above date and times and when they returned they found the rear door open and their dogs running free around the residence. They said someone probably entered the house from the side door and let the dogs out the back door. Once inside, the subject(s) stole a number of items, including computers and video games; they also broke into the son’s safe and stole coins, cash and jewelry. Officers found no signs of forced entry. The son said he believes his ex-girlfriend may have gained entry to the house and stolen the items because his possessions were the only ones missing. He said in the past he and the ex-girlfriend had drug problems and he believes she is still using and engaging in criminal activity. He said she has been harassing him and his family ever since they split up several months ago.
