The Dorchester Soil and Water Conservation District is now accepting applications for the annual “Conservation Award Scholarship.” This $500 to $1,000 scholarship is available to a high school senior or college student planning to further their education in an agricultural or environmental related field.
The recipient must be planning to attend or is attending a college, university, or technical college in South Carolina and majoring in Vocational Agriculture, Agriculture Economics or Engineering, Agronomy, Forestry, Horticulture, or Soils. The recipient must demonstrate ability, knowledge, and need in the application.
Applications are available at the Dorchester Soil and Water Conservation District office located at the USDA Service Center, 5809 W. Jim Bilton Blvd., Saint George, S.C. 29477. Applications must be in our office no later than close of business April 16.
