Library HQ grand opening is March 3

The Grand Opening Ceremony for the Jennie Johnston McMahan Headquarters of the Dorchester County Library will take place Sunday, March 3at 2 p.m. in St. George. After the ceremony the building will be open to tour until 5 p.m. The expansion and renovation of the building has taken a year to complete. While the building was closed for the project the Headquarters staff moved to the Old County Courthouse and continued to operate with a small collection of materials. Patron requests were met by utilizing the resources of the S.C. Lends Consortium libraries.
The Headquarters will resume normal operations in its renovated facility on March 4 at 9:30 a.m.
