Attention artists: ready, set, go!
Like to get the chance to see your original art hanging in Summerville
Town Hall for all to appreciate?
There are approximately 48 short hours left to get your artwork ready to submit for the next show sponsored by the Cultural Arts Alliance of Greater Summerville. Art intake will be Friday, March 1, from 4-7 p.m. at Town Hall. Judges will jury the work over the weekend and accepted pieces will be hung Monday March 4, and remain until Friday May 17.
This year the opening reception will coordinate with Dream's Third Thursdays, and be held at Town Hall Thursday, March 21, from 5-7 p.m.
The public is invited to enjoy the show as well as wine and cheese.
This exhibit is open to artists over the age of 18 who reside in Dorchester County, and/or within the town limits of Summerville and adjacent Communities. All work must be original and created by the artist.
An artist contract must be signed and submitted with their entry. Each artist may submit any number of pieces to be juried and must pay a $10 entry fee per piece. Winners and other pieces chosen for display will be exhibited. All accepted art must remain in the exhibit for the entire duration of the show.
Those coordinating the show include Rich Lightfoot, John Lindroth, Jane
Orenstein, Meg Skow and Jere Young.
This two-dimensional show includes painting, drawing, print making
and mixed media. This is the most extensive category of this type of art
since the shows began. Rules and Entry Forms are available at People,
Places and Quilts, The Finishing Touch and online:
