2012 Frist Humanitarian Award Recipients Announced
North Charleston, S.C./ February 27, 2013 – Trident Health recently announced the recipients of the 2012 Frist Humanitarian Award presented nationally to Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) employees and volunteers. Trident Medical Center 2012 recipients include employee Chrystal Wilson, hospital volunteer Dot Prevatte and Dr. James Martin. Summerville Medical Center recipients include volunteer Rosemary McDonald, employee Pat Radar and Dr. Art Shepard. This honor places all six recipients in nomination for the nationwide 2012 Frist Humanitarian Award, the highest honor an employee or volunteer can earn within HCA, the parent company of Trident Health. The Frist Humanitarian Awards were created to recognize one employee, one volunteer and one physician at each HCA facility who demonstrate extraordinary concern for the welfare and happiness of patients and their community. The Humanitarian Awards are given annually in recognition of the humanitarian spirit and philanthropic work of the late Dr. Thomas F. Frist, Sr., a founder of Hospital Corporation of America, the predecessor company of HCA.
