Windsor Hill Arts Infused Elementary School fourth- and fifth-graders participated in the 2013 Black History Bowl on Feb. 16 at the Citadel. WHAIES previously held Black History Bowls for third through five grades. The top four winners from fourth and fifth grade made the “Black History Bowl Team” for the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Black History Bowl. Three schools competed, Mitchell Elementary, Charleston Progressive Academy, and Windsor Hill Arts Infused Elementary School. The overall winners were Mitchell in first place, WHAIES in second place, and CPA in third place. WHAIES team members, shown here, were: Heather Pigford, Travis Simmons, Danyale Hyche, Joseph Brennan, Seth Mapp, Jayvion Snow, Katie Skipper, and Exavier Sellers.
