Summerville picked up wins on the diamond, the pitch and the golf course this week.
On Wednesday the Green Wave baseball team earned a 4-2 win over Cane Bay. John Eckley picked up the win on the mound to improve his record to 2-0 this season. Miles Goodwin was 3 for 4 at the plate for the Wave, which improved to 3-1 on the season.
The Green Wave softball team improved to 7-0 with a 9-7 win over Stratford Wednesday. Taylor Wuerfel picked up the win in the circle to improve to 6-0.
Brittany Olean hit a walkoff homerun in the seventh to seal the victory. Taylor Belfiore was 3 for 4 at the plate with two RBIs and Hannah Horton was 2 for 4 with a homerun.
The Lady Green Wave soccer team earned a 3-0 win over Stratford in Summerville’s season opener. Rachel Thurmes scored all three Summerville goals.
The Summerville golf team came in with a score of 163 to win a match with Ashley Ridge (167), Beaufort (175), Fort Dorchester (176) and Colleton County (225). Christian Woods was the low medalist for the match, which was held at the Wescott Plantation course.
The Ashley Ridge golf team defeated Pinewood Prep 167-169 earlier in the week. Austin Zoeller was the low medalist for the match, held at the Pine Forest course.
