Terrific Kids

  • Thursday, March 14, 2013

Principal Harolyn Hess, recently met with her Terrific Kids’ Advisory Board.  In the meeting, 4th grader, Kaden DuBois suggested that Fort Dorchester Elementary School have a school flag.  Kaden solicited the help of art teachers Laura Hastings and Angel Harris. Together, Kaden, Ms. Hastings, Ms. Harris and Mrs. Hess sketched out Kaden’s idea. Ms. Harris put the idea in a digital format and sent it to a local flag company. Fort Dorchester Elementary School now proudly flies the Glory Gator flag under the American flag and the South Carolina state flag. Shown here, from left, are Ms. Harris, Kaden, and Ms. Hastings.
