Meet the Doc
Chris Graf, MD
Dr. Christian Graf grew up in Mount Pleasant and went to the Medical University of South Carolina. After his residency in Charlotte, he was glad to return home to the Lowcountry in 2002. For more than a decade, he has served as a physician in Trident Medical Center's Emergency Department, which handles more emergency cases than any other hospital in the Charleston area. "The staff is all in it together. It's definitely a team effort to take care of the patients," says Dr. Graf. He was drawn to emergency medicine because of its intellectual challenges and the satisfaction he gets from seeing patients recover quickly from serious situations. "We do tremendous good for people in a very short period of time."
"To be successful in emergency medicine you need to be able to multitask, and you need to be calm."
