Green Wave teams earned wins on the baseball diamond, the golf course and the soccer pitch this week.
On Tuesday the Summerville boys’ soccer team (4-2) earned a 2-1 victory over Beaufort (5-1) in a key Region 8-AAAA match. Ryan West scored both Summerville goals.
That day, the Ashley Ridge golf team earned a 152-180 win over Stratford. Zak Butt shot a 34 to claim low medalist honors.
On Wednesday, the Green Wave baseball team (6-4) earned a 13-1 win over Colleton County. Sawyer Bridges (3-0) fanned 10 batters and received the pitching win. John Eckley led the Wave batters, going 3 for 4 at the plate with two doubles.
The Fort Dorchester baseball team (6-4) fell 8-2 to Beaufort on Wednesday while the Patriot softball team (3-9) fell 7-4 to Beaufort (6-1). Kaitlyn Kerley led the Fort batters, going 2 for 3 at the plate with a home run.
The Summerville golf team came in with a match low round of 155 to win a match with Ashley Ridge (157), Beaufort (164), Fort Dorchester (166) and Colleton County (232). Butt was the low medalist with a round of 34.
