The Dorchester County/Summerville Metro Narcotics unit finished up a four-month investigation with eight arrests and seizure of large quantities of illegal drugs.
Eight men were arrested on numerous charges; two more are still being sought.
According to a Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office press release, the Metro Narcotics Unit concluded a 4-month investigation into illegal drug sales in the Greenhurst Subdivision of Summerville.
This investigation was initiated by numerous citizen complaints from the neighborhood, according to DCSO officials.
In response, detectives conducted numerous controlled purchases of illegal drugs and ultimately executed a total of 4 search warrants on 4 separate residences after making a number of undercover purchases of marijuana, cocaine, and prescription pills. The search warrants netted a total of 574.2 grams of marijuana, 45.4 grams of cocaine, 6.5 grams of heroin, 10.4 grams of crack cocaine, 56 pills of ecstasy, a .40 caliber Beretta pistol, and a .40 caliber Keltec submachine gun, according to DCSO officials.
Officers arrested the following on the following charges: Anthony Jackson, 4 counts distribution of marijuana, distribution of a controlled substance, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, PWID ecstasy, PWID cocaine base, trafficking heroin and trafficking cocaine; Elbert Aiken, distribution of marijuana; Julius Evans, three counts distribution of marijuana, two counts distribution of cocaine base, unlawful conduct toward a child, PWID cocaine base, PWID cocaine, PWID marijuana; James Lewis, PWID marijuana, PWID ecstasy, PWID cocaine base, trafficking heroin, trafficking cocaine; Kevin Fogel, PWID marijuana, PWID ecstasy, PWID cocaine base, trafficking heroin, trafficking cocaine; Gregory Glenn, PWID marijuana, PWID ecstasy, PWID cocaine base, trafficking heroin, trafficking cocaine; Jonathan Guess, PWID cocaine base, PWID cocaine, PWID marijuana; Anthony Price, PWID marijuana within half a mile of a school.
In addition, two suspects are still at large and wanted. Lourince Ladson is wanted for distribution of marijuana and Tyriek Wise is wanted for three counts of distribution of marijuana and two counts of distribution of cocaine base.
