The Patriots picked up wins on the diamond and the soccer pitch this week.
The Fort Dorchester baseball team defeated Colleton County 8-5 Monday to improve to 7-5 on the season with a 1-2 mark in Region 8-AAAA.
Junior Joshua Murray notched his first pitching win of the season while junior Austin McClung received a save. The Patriots tallied nine hits and only committed one error while holding the Cougars to four hits.
Fort Dorchester hosts Summerville at 7 p.m. March 29.
The Fort Dorchester softball team defeated Colleton 1-0 Monday. Senior Mackenzie Broughton had the pitching win to improve her record in the circle to 3-9. The Lady Patriots (4-10) only had five hits, but made them count.
The team travels to Summerville March 29.
The Fort Dorchester boys’ soccer team defeated Bluffton 4-2 Tuesday to improve to 5-3-2 on the season with a 3-1 mark in Region 8-AAAA. Alihan Ozsoylu scored two of the Patriot goals while Trevour Johnson and Jack Stasek also scored for Fort Dorchester.
The Patriots wrap up the first half of their region schedule March 29 when they travel to Summerville for a 7 p.m. match.
