Celebrate National Library Week

The American Library Association annually celebrates National Library Week to highlight the programs and services of libraries across our nation.  This year National Library Week runs from April 14 – 20.  The central theme is “Communities Matter.”   The Staff of Dorchester County Library hopes that you will visit our St. George and Summerville libraries during National Library Week and take part in our planned activities.
 
•           Monday:     Come in and get a DCL Library Card FREE!!
•           Tuesday:     National Library Workers Day
•           Wednesday:   National  Bookmobile Day
•           Thursday:   Library Snapshot Day –  Staff will be taking pictures all day in the library
•           Friday:       SC Humanities Festival History Symposium at the Seago Library in Summerville
•           Saturday:   Bright Beginning Workshop [10-11am in Summerville]
Workshop for parents, teachers and cargivers working with children    ages 0-6.  Participation in workshop allows individuals to use our Bright Beginnings kits.  Call 871-5075 for more information.
