Communities Matter. Dorchester County Library recognizes the importance of the theme of this year’s National Library Week.†
In St. George, the need for a more modern and larger facility in the upper part of the county was fulfilled when the Headquarters reopened in its beautifully renovated and expanded building in March.†
In Summerville, the Seago Branch is assisting their Friends of the Library group in hosting the South Carolina Humanities Festival this weekend.† The Library is the site for the Festival’s Friday activities with a grant-writing workshop in the morning and a history symposium in the afternoon.
The bookmobile is back on the road again after a year long hiatus as part of the temporary St. George location.† It is out visiting local after school programs, retirement communities and rural communities from one end of the county to the other.
Visit the library this week and get a library card.† It’s free and will open doors to world’s you never dreamed you would visit.
