McDavid, Muthig to wed

Kathleen Erin McDavid and Jeffrey Paul Muthig PROVIDED

Mr. and Mrs. D. Thomas McDavid of Summerville, South Carolina, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Kathleen Erin, to Jeffrey Paul Muthig, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul J. Muthig of Columbia.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Riegel of Summerville, Dr. and Mrs. Robert F. McDavid of Terre Haute, Indiana, and the late Mrs. Maryalyce McDavid.  A graduate of Summerville High School, Kathleen earned Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and German from Furman University and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law.  She is a Staff Attorney at the Supreme Court of South Carolina.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Dr. and Mrs. Franklin B. Hines, Jr., of Columbia, Mrs. Ann Muthig of Vidalia, Georgia, and the late Mr. James Muthig.  A graduate of Richland Northeast High School, Jeff earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance from Wofford College.  He is an Associate Field Credit Analyst at NBSC, a division of Synovus Bank.
An August wedding is planned at Eastminster Presbyterian Church in Columbia.
