Fort Dorchester will open the playoffs by traveling to West Ashley, which placed second in Region 7.
Colleton County finished ahead of Summerville and Bluffton to secure Region 8’s final seed. The Cougars will travel to face Region 7 champion Wando Monday for the first round.
On the boys’ side, Fort Dorchester has locked up Region 8’s top seed and will open the playoffs Tuesday by hosting the third place team from Region 6. Beaufort has secured the No. 2 spot for Region 8 and will host the third place team from Region 7.
At press time Summerville, Ashley Ridge and Bluffton were still battling for Region 8’s third and fourth seeds.
